Why a bar?
Sagebrush, a legendary honky tonk bar in Austin, is where we had our first date and where Julie asked Lauren to marry her. Our first date was sometime in early March 2023. But we celebrate and marked our anniversary as February 25th, which was the date of one of Julie's shows at Old Pal in Lockhart that Lauren bravely came to and where we first started flirting...
On February 25th, 2024 for our one year anniversary, Julie took Lauren to Cirque du Soleil, dinner, and finally Sagebrush. Julie bravely proposed to Lauren in the photo booth, forever marking their happiness in black and white. SHE SAID YES!
